STING Series
A different approach for tight engine bays: no side cable ports, no cutting the factory main cable. The OEM cable stays where it is, and auxiliary wiring lands on screw points using ring terminals.
The problem STING was built for
Adding an amplifier, a fuse block, a winch or a second battery usually runs into the same wall at the battery post: there is nowhere clean to land the new cable. The common answers are all compromises — stack ring terminals on the existing clamp bolt until they settle loose, or cut the factory main cable and crimp on something new.
Cutting the OEM cable is the one most people hesitate over, and they are right to. It is not reversible, it affects the highest-current path in the vehicle, and it makes going back to standard difficult.
What STING does differently
STING is not a smaller version of our multi-way terminals. It is a different connection method.
- The OEM main cable stays. A dedicated fixing structure holds the factory cable as it is — no cutting, no re-crimping, no replacing the loom.
- Auxiliary wiring lands on screw points using ring terminals. Each added circuit is crimped to a ring terminal and bolted down, which is a more stable long-term joint than a bare conductor clamped by a set screw.
- No side cable ports. This is deliberate, and it is the trade: STING is not for anyone who wants to push bare wire into a hole. It is for people who want a compact, tidy, serviceable install.
- Compact footprint. Approximately 3.5 × 1.22 × 1.06 in, for engine bays where a full-size multi-way terminal will not fit.
Is STING right for you? An honest filter
Yes, if you want to keep the factory main cable, you are adding a few auxiliary circuits, space around the battery is tight, and you are comfortable using ring terminals.
No, if you want to push several bare cables straight into side ports, you need a lot of separate feeds, or you have a side-post battery. In those cases the Eagle Series or FLEX Series is the better fit — we would rather point you there than sell you the wrong part.
Two lengths
STING comes in a short and a long body. They work identically; the long version adds overall length and positions the OEM cable fixing differently. Which one suits your battery depends on the space around the post.
Independently tested, not just claimed
Anyone can print "aircraft-grade aluminium" on a listing. We had ours tested by SGS, an independent laboratory, and we publish the report numbers so you can ask for them.
