How do I install a Kaas battery terminal?
Disconnect the battery (negative first), slide each cable into a terminal hole, seat the terminal on the post, then tighten the post bolt and the cable screws. Reconnect the negative last. No cutting or crimping of the post is needed.
Do I need any special tools to install these?
No — just a standard wrench or socket for the post bolt and a hex/Allen key for the cable screws. Everything needed to clamp the cables is built into the terminal.
How tight should I tighten the terminal?
Tighten until the terminal is firmly seated and the cables cannot be pulled out by hand — snug and secure, without over-torquing. The anti-loosening screw design helps the connection stay tight over time.
My old clamps keep coming loose — will these fix that?
